A group of local residents will hold a rally in support of President Barack Obama and against Proposition 32, on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Laurel Park in Los Alamitos.
Laurel Park is located at 10862 Bloomfield St (at Katella) in Los Alamitos. Organizers are asking participants to bring signs, posters, flags and their spirit.

For the past 15 years, local real estate agents Tim and Lynnette O’Bryan have created an amazing and ever expanding “Haunted Yard” to the delight of local residents in Rossmoor. They average 800 to 1,100 people through the yard between dusk and 9:30 p.m. on the one-night Halloween event.
It is geared for younger kids and their parents and it’s not scary. Nothing jumps out or grabs visitors. It’s been described as a very professional quality set up. Visitors need to walk all the way through to appreciate the amount of work that goes into it. Even the high school kids are stopping by now knowing it’s not scary but have heard it is worth seeing on Halloween night.
Guests walk up towards the front door and around the front yard into the backyard where there is a “pirate” display in the pool area, along with a three-story house constructed with moving characters. Every year the O’Bryan’s try to add something new or change it up a bit and this year is no different. Watch for some new displays.
The community is invited to stop by to see the “Haunted Yard” (one night only!), on Halloween, starting from dusk until about 9 p.m. The house is at 12681 Martha Ann Drive. It’s just North of Copa De Oro on the west side of the street – you probably won’t be able to miss it!

Local candidates will meet the public from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rush Park Auditorium, 3021 Blume Drive, in Rossmoor.
