A visiting U.S. Army aviation unit returned to Los Alamitos Army Airfield recently engaged in flight operations, and the training may include periods of increased air traffic and aircraft noise, and is scheduled to conclude on Oct. 17. The activity is to maintain overall operational readiness.
The majority of activity is taking place during normal airfield operating hours, but residents of communities located near the base may hear helicopters departing and returning to the airfield outside of normal operating hours.
Efforts will be taken to minimize any inconvenience to the neighboring communities with these training exercises during evening hours.
