Workshops for the Los Alamitos High School grad night will be held Saturday, May 11, Saturday, May 18 and Friday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the LAUSD utility yard, located at 10652 Reagan St. in Los Alamitos.
It is an opportunity to meet new people while working toward the common goal of a safe and fun grad night. No experience is needed and no particular skill is necessary. All grade level parents, students and community members are encouraged to attend or help.
Students may come to any or all workshops and will receive community service hours. A community service log form can be downloaded from the Los Alamitos High School website. Students can simply look for the adult in charge of the workshop to have the form signed.
In addition to the workshops, more parent volunteers are needed to help with grad night including parents of senior and underclassmen. Two shifts are available in areas such as casino, games, food, security, first-aid and more. Set-up for grad night begins on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
